Championship golf near sunny-and-beautiful Corona, California? You couldn't possibly pass on today’s feature: $39 for 18 Holes with Cart and Range Balls at The Golf Club at Glen Ivy in Glen Ivy near Corona ($79 Value. Expires April 15, 2012.)

Etched out of land alongside the beautiful Cleveland National Forest just south of Corona, this course lacks neither scenery nor appeal. The Golf Club at Glen Ivy boasts one of the premier tracks in Southern California with its scenic views and creatively designed fairways adapted from the natural lay of the land. This par-72 beauty was a brainchild of the great Ted Robinson Sr., and it’s no secret that this course is as challenging as it is pleasing to the eye.

The Golf Club at Glen Ivy measures out to a fair 6,673 yards from the tips with a course/slope rating of 73/131. Its four sets of tee locations will vary the distance and the challenge, providing further appeal to the scratch golfer and the weekend warrior alike. You’ll kick off your round with a long downhill par-5 measuring up to 537 yards but playing much shorter than the yardage would have you think. Getting to the green in two is quite possible, but be wary of wayward shots that will be welcomed by both sand and water. Close out the front nine with the par-3 No. 9, which features a peninsula-style green jutting out into water with three protective guard bunkers.

The back nine at The Golf Club at Glen Ivy kicks off with the moderate-length par-5 No.10 and quickly reloads with another par-5, No. 13. Unlike No. 1, this dogleg-left plays longer than its yardage indicates. The following par-3 No. 14 is a signature hole of sorts that requires you to fly a lake and green a shot between woods and water surrounded by strategically placed bunkers. Lastly, you’ll finish how you started: The long, downhill No. 18, a par-4 finishing hole like none you’ve ever played before. With a 200-foot vertical drop from the tees to the fairway, No. 18 boasts the highest vertical drop of any hole at any course in the United States.

After you finish up on the signature No. 18, be sure to tally up the scores at the Canyon’s Grille featuring a wide array of great food and cold drinks from sunrise to sunset. Happy-hour specials on food and drinks Monday through Friday make the weekday round that much better. Be sure to swing into the pro-shop at The Golf Club at Glen Ivy for all of the latest in greatest in golf equipment and apparel from the big names that you demand and deserve.

Swing on into The Golf Club at Glen Ivy for some great food, drink and championship golf — you’ll have little left to be desired after you play at this world-class facility!
